When I make a bronze cast, it takes three or four hands to finish the job. With wood, on the other hand, I can really do everything myself. I could even go into the forest myself and chop down a tree and make a sculpture out of it. Also, wood is relatively easy to work with and there is no conversion process. With clay or plaster, there is a transformation involved, with wood you have the result in front of you from start to finish."
